Christmas 2009

The whole family got together this year! It was a busy household. Elaine, Kristol, David and I came home. Elaine came a little later then everyone else.

David Archuleta Concert

Archy's concert turned out to be Amazing!! He is a great singing and thought his stage presence was really funny. He acts like he is a 17 year old boy. He stumbled some but it was just plain cute sense he is a young boy!! haha i really enjoyed myself! I got my roommate Aubrey to go with me!





His opening singer was Benton Paul. I LOVED him as well. After the concert i went on I-Tunes and bought his c.d to support him.








YES!! Archy played the piano for us!!


























The concert was a two parter. First it was his normal songs and then he went into his Christmas album. It was a wonderful concert and totally worth the 20 bucks!!

Macy's Day Parade

This year i got to go to the Macy's Day Parade on Thanksgiving!! My family and the Wanless family went together and it was a lot of fun. We had FANTASTIC seats. We got there right when it was about to start but the Wanless family found a place where people had over looked. We had to climb over a lot of people to get their. It was crazy and i couldn't believe they found this place right next to the street.



The classic big balloons!! I thought it was really cute how the people look like the balloon they are carrying.

I also got to see a lot of stars!! These two photos are just a couple that i saw and really only recognized a few of them!! haha but it was fun to see the ones i did know. This is the band Boys Like Girls and they actually performed and Jimmy Fallon.

New Moon Midnight Showing

The New Moon Midnight showing was SO much fun!! Paige my roommate and i went to Idaho Falls to catch it at the big screen!! We bundled up so we wouldnt be cold standing outside!! We did the gloves...socks..big coats etc. We didnt leave anything to chance of getting cold!!















The day it came out i went to school and had to drive to Salt Lake for Thanksgiving break!! I was so tired driving down but I had a 24oz Dr. Pepper to get me through the three hour drive!! The next morning i went to another showing of New Moon with Elaine and her friend Kristine!!




Elaine made us all shirts!! I was team Jacob and the other two were team Edward!! haha

The roommates and I went to the duns for the first time and it was so much fun!! I didn't know but they are just big pills of sand!!

We made a huge bonfire with the wood planks from Walmart and pieces of wood that someone else had!! It was totally wicked!! hahah













so we brought card board to slide down the hills with but it failed... totally didnt work so we had to resort to just jumping off the hill. The picture above is a guy doing a flip over the other guy. It was really cool to watch.

Trip to the Big Apple w/ the Wanless Girls

Our trip to New York was so so much fun!! We caught the lite rail in Camden to the train station in Trenton and then took that train into New York!! This is us as the bus stop!! It was really fun riding the train...just something new and it was exciting.













When we got off the train we went the wrong direction and ended up a half an hour walk back to times square but we wanted to catch a 2:00 Broadway show. We didnt have time to walk back (what a shame...(:) so we caught a tax!! We got to the half price ticket place and didnt see anything we wanted to see so we decided to get some food because we were all Starving. we found this cute shop and i had a philly cheese stake, fries, and a Dr. Pepper. It tasted so good!!





Then we went with our plan B and that was to go to the Metropolitian Museum of Art. It was an Amazing place.


These are the steps in Gossip Girl that the "mean girls" sit at so i had to make sure and get a picture sitting here and if you look closely you can see i have a white paper sack!! haha












They had a whole half a floor of just Egyptian stuff. MY HEAVEN!! The picture below is an actual wall from a tomb. I also so lots of coffins, jewelery, pots, fabrics, a mummy, lots of sculptures, the pots where they put the organs in, and a lot more

Then we went into the art portion of it. IT WAS AMAZING!! We saw lots of Monets, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, the first Micheal Angelo painting called "The Torment of Saint Anthony." but you couldnt take pictures of that one. I was so over welmed by the time we had to go just by those paintings. There were also a couple a really enjoyed that were from the Pride and Prejudice ara. They made the woman look so beautiful.

We took our taxi back and went to a restuarant were the waiters sing while we are eating. It was an intense and loud place but really fun!! These guys are really good too because there is a least one person in every broadway play that used to work there. So it was fun and i had a chicken pot pie. You cant go wrong it was really good!!












After dinner we wanted to walk around a shop a little so we went to the big Toy Store in Times square. It was dark by now and New York at night is always fun to see and around. We looked at all the mugs (for me) and lunch pails (for Becca). We both thought about both but decided not to in the end. But i did go to Starbucks after and get a really cute New York mug and high quality so it was better in the end. While i was getting that i couldnt help but get a drink and pound cake...(: Then Becca only gets Jumba when she comes to new York so she got a jumba for herself.









After getting our drinks we sat in Times Square at the red tables till it was time to go. But we did leave too late because we almost missed our train back!! haha

Kristols House!!

After our camping trip i had a couple days with Kristol!! The first night we couldn't help but watch Twilight and like always it was amazing!! The second day Kristol decided to get me stuck on Gossip Girl and fall in love with Chuck Bass!!..(:

On the third day we took a little break by going to the splash pad with Jacob. On the way home we picked up some Al Polo Loco.....and some sprinkle cup cakes. They are suppose to be the best cup cakes around!! When we got home we couldn't help but make our way back to the T.V. to get some more Gossip Girl in!

Fishing Trip

We went to the annual camping trip again this year!! I got to spend the week with Chuck, Norm, and my Dad. Since we are living on the east coast this year we flew to Arizona, rented a car, took all of Kristols camping stuff and was on our way for the nine hour car ride. I had made three C.D's for Dad to listen to on the way up and thank goodness because it would have been a long trip without them. We become obsessed with Over The Ranbow by Iz I on this trip. I think we listened to it at least 100 times by the end. haha This was the first year that it was just Dad and I went from our family. It was tuns of fun like always!! I got one and 3/4th's of a book read....Ride Along by Sara Dessent and the Da Vince Code. I really was enjoying both of them a lot.


What always amazes me about this place ever year is the stars. It is so beautiful at night when you can see every star in the sky. Dad and i found ourselves most of the time going out to eat....i know shame on us...but we were always out and about and not at our camp site. Dad got this idea in his head that he might want to live there someday so we had to check out all the house and such around. But it was fun because mammoth is a cute town. We had this one coffee house spot that had the best pedda's. we kept going back for more. Our fishing was horrible...I didnt get anything and dad got a small brown but didn't keep it. I didn't feel too bad cause the boys only got two a piece themselves and they are the pro's!! They just aren't stocking as much because of the economy. One of the days we went to a creek by June Lake to fish. I got to wait in. It felt really good cause it was so hot and i was in cold water.


One day we decided to take a walk down to Hot Creek. It is supposed to be the hottest fishing place in the country!! But what you catch you cant keep. Its a place where you can only catch and release. This is me at the bottom after we had hiked on down.

Another day we went to the fish hatchery. It was fun looking at all the fish together. I got to feed them as well and they found all fight for it. I felt bad for them also because there wasnt very much room but a lot of them but it was neat it see!!
